Pärnävaara Fitness Stairs – Step by Step Towards Better Fitness

Liperi Municipality and the City of Joensuu renovated the stairs in the summer of 2018. There are approximately 70 steps between the top and bottom landings. Small resting platforms are located along the way for a short break.

The Pärnävaara fitness stairs offer an excellent way to improve fitness, balance, and lower body strength in the heart of nature. These supportive and safe stairs are suitable for people of all ages, whether you are an active athlete or a beginner.

Located next to the Pärnävaara Sports Center, the fitness stairs make it easy to combine your workout with other activities, such as roller skiing, the outdoor gym, or jogging through beautiful forest scenery. Climbing the stairs challenges the body effectively and serves as a great addition to warm-ups or interval training.
